By investing in sealcoating your driveway, you can protect your investment and enjoy a safe, attractive and long-lasting surface for your vehicles and visitors. Sealcoating extends pavement life by several years by providing protection against weather and traffic wear and tear.
Estimate: The process begins with an easy estimate! One of our estimators will reach out to you to discuss your driveways needs and answer any questions you may have.
Crack Fill: Our team will asses the present state of the driveway and discuss with you whether or not Crack Filling is needed and necessary.
Extensive Surface Preparation: Before the commercial grade sealcoat is applied, SPM will go through extensive surface prep to ensure a proper bond, the edges of the lawn will be trimmed, the surface will be cleaned. Unlike our competition, we will also apply a primer to any oil stains or slick spots. We will use a power broom or other equipment to ensure that there is no dirt or debris left on the surface before we seal. We will also tape off any edges to ensure neat crisp lines.
Material Application: The commercial grade sealcoat is then applied to the surface of the driveway by hand using our professional equipment and the brush technique. Applying sealer by brush provides greater control, appearance, consistency, and increased durability, making it the most effective method for protecting and preserving your driveway. We are proud to provide the best-looking driveway transformations in Michigan.
Drying: The sealcoat must then be allowed to dry completely. This typically takes 24 hours, depending on the weather conditions. The surface should be protected from traffic during this time to allow the sealcoat to cure properly.
Inspection: Once the project is completed, the driveway will be inspected to ensure that the job was done correctly.
Final Clean-Up: After the inspection, the area around the driveway is cleaned up, and any materials, debris, or equipment used during the process are removed.
This is a general outline of our residential sealcoating process. The exact steps may vary slightly depending on your needs and the condition of the driveway. However, the goal of each step is to provide a high-quality, long-lasting sealcoat that will protect your driveway and enhance its appearance.
